Robin flipped idly through a newspaper as he sat in the office building's lobby. He pondered ringing up Kateri to see if she was lost-- Manhattan could be a bewildering maze for even the experience New Yorker-- but he decided to wait a few more minutes, especially when he remembered she didn't have a phone for him to call.
He hummed to himself as he continued to scan the paper for anything of interest (there wasn't), more of his thoughts on the young woman than on the paper. He'd liked her; liked the throw-myself-to-the-winds-and-see-where-they-carry-me attitude. And her dreams: the lofty plans and hopes of youth were, to one such as Robin Goodfellow, as good as an invitation to get involved. Make those dreams come true, perhaps. If she proved herself, if the spark of creativity he saw in her was strong enough to fuel a life of the same.
Well, well; only time would tell.
He flipped a few more pages in the paper, then glanced up at the glass double doors leading into the lobby. Patient waiting had never been his strong suit.
