Another uninnocent, elegant fall into the unmagnificent lives of adults;
//Halfway through April Naoko turned 20. She was seven months older than I was, my own birthday being in November. There was something strange about her becoming 20. I felt as if the only thing that made sense, whether for Naoko or for me, was to keep going back and forth between 18 and 19. After 18 would come 19, and after 19, 18, of course. But she turned 20. And in the Autumn, I would do the same. Only the dead stay 19 forever.

Reoki set the ball on the ground and patted my knee. "Look," she said, "I'm not telling you to stop sleeping with girls. If you're OK with that, then it's OK. It's your life after all, it's something you have to decide. All I'm saying is you shouldn't use yourself up in some unnatural form. Do you see what I'm getting at? It would be such a waste. The years 19 and 20 are a crucial stage in the maturation of character, and if you allow yourself to become warped when you're that age, it will cause pain when you're older. It's true. So think about it carefully. If you want to take care of Naoko, take care of yourself too."// -Norwegian Wood
The National - Mistaken for Strangers Florence and the Machine did an amazing cover of Beirut's Postcards from Italy, and Beirut did an incredible cover of Neutral Milk Hotel's In an Aeroplane over the sea. But beneath these covers and atmospherics both Beirut and NMH harbour themes of pre-war love, post-war shame, fallen flags and all. Besides these new found gems there are also plenty of new discoveries aboard the new iPod. You see I've been swapping pods and boy do they have pleasant surprises - I gobbled up family guy season 4 (again) together with juno (again), nick&norah's and Ida Maria <3.

In my good times
There were always golden rocks to throw
at those who admit defeat too late
Those were our times, those were our times
In spite of the coming 3 weeks of apparent bumming, ( I amn't going brunei :O :O :O ) there's still 20,000 tasks to finish and what a damn drag it's going to be. But thanks for the galaxy game, the fudge, the $25 ticket, the stiched muffin and everything wonderful in between.
