Sex or no sex?

Okay, I need some help choosing between my work books and my home books. As I've mentioned before, I don't like reading vivid sex scenes at work. Short little blurbs, eh, fine, but anything longer makes me uncomfortable. I mean, I'm in my car, you know? Weird ( Read more... )

Weather Warden has sex only in the later books, and not a lot.

Dime Store Magic has no sex that I recall, either, though if you haven't read the rest of the prequels, you might be a tad confused.

Descriptions of the Aisling Grey novels imply significant amounts of Sex, though not likely Anita Blake level.

Also, the Weather Warden series is terrible. Read Dime Store Magic first.

Ah, that's right. The prequels you can read on her website, right?

Aisling Grey does look like it'd have sex in it. But, you know, a lot of books looks like they do and then don't, so... But yeah, I think I'll read that at home just to be safe!

And yes yes, I know how you feel about the Weather Warden series. ;P You know, the thing is, she flung out my weakness at me: djinn! Now, it could be I'll read this book and be absolutely horrified at how she goes about that part, but it intrigues me at the moment!

Does it help that I'm reading the first Rachel Morgan book right now? (I LOVE Trent. But can she stop being a mink now, please?)

Hahahahaha. Trent is a great character, and he's got a LOT in common with Johnny Marcone. Just wait'll you figure out why Jenks can't figure him out. Bricks, they will be shat.

Also, the mink thing doesn't last long, blessedly. And the series name is the Hollows.

As for the prequels to Dime Store Magic, it's only the prologue and first chapter that are online. You can get by without them, since Dime Store Magic shifts focus, but the main characters of DMS are first introduced in the previous book, Stolen. You can get by without it, due to the standard explanatory exposition, though.

So far, Trent makes the book for me. I was really struggling through until he showed up. ^^;;

Hollows, Rachel Morgan, eh, at least you knew what I was talking about, right? ^_~

And okay, I think I'll just skip the prequels to Dime Store Magic then. I'll even read it before Ill Wind just to appease you. ;P

Actually, I had to think for a while about Rachel Morgan. I'm -really- bad with names.

Also, by skipping the prequel, you avoid a story centered around The Huge Fucking Werewolf Sue, and that's always good.
