My copies of Unnatural & Accidental and Durham County season 1 came in yesterday! I only ordered them Sunday. Yay! I wonder if I could get in Bon Cop, Bad Cop before the sale ends. (I have a copy, but I got it off ebay. I suspect it of being a bootleg -- plus it skips.)

I ought to write a dear author letter for the Midsummer exchange, but I'm having trouble remembering what I requested. I went from not sure what to ask for to suddenly having too many ideas -- and I can't remember which ones made the final cut.

Hm. I guess, dear author, if you have any concerns about a specific prompt, you can ask one of the mods to forward it along. (Though I'm telling you right now, the answer will be "yes! do it!") I'm terribly excited to be receiving a story AT ALL, so you really can't go wrong.

DIFFICULT. Ok. Please remember that these guidelines are not absolute and that for just about everything I say I prefer, I can also name an exception. I read just about everything fic-genre-wise. I enjoy both stories with a good helping of humor and stories that twist at the heart strings. I read gen through seriously kinky PWP. I read a lot of first time stories, because I like finding out how the characters became a pairing.

I have a bit of a competency kink. I love characters who are very skilled at something -- whether that something is mechanical or mental, scientific or artistic. I love when other characters recognize that ability.

In previous letters to exchange writers, I've said I'm not a big fan of crack... but I think I'm actually just not a big fan of crack the way it was written in my first fandom/lurkerdom (which typically featured very over-the-top crazy!zany!characterizations on top of the crack concept). If you feel moved to write wingfic or bodyswap for any of the prompts, hey, go for it. On a related topic, I prefer change-one-thing/what-if style AUs over ones that transport characters into a completely new setting/life. Usually.

I'm generally a multishipper and not OTPish, but my one exception made it into the list of prompts -- Wilby Wonderful's Duck and Dan. For any of the other prompts, feel free to break my heart with angst and bad decisions should you feel so moved, but if you decide to write about those two, I'd really appreciate optimism at the end, even if the middle part of the story takes a turn for the difficult.

Should you write anything explicit, I don't have squicks to ask you to avoid -- not even dubcon, except where I noted in the original request form. And certain kinks, like bondage or restraint are more of a 'yes, please,' really.

My crossover requests are of characters I'd like to put in a room together -- what develops, or doesn't, is entirely up to you.

I think that's it? Seriously, anything you write about any of these characters will make me happy. Thank you in advance!
