The people of the colonies are pretty laid back
All my coworkers are INDIGNANT on my behalf again. Hee.
Okay, so. The other night I was watching Leverage and my secret ship had a GREAT moment. And I was all SPARKLE!GLEE.
And then I was reading around the friends list -- procrastinating, really, because I cannot pick amongst the single fandom panels on the BP comm, and it's cruel to even ask -- and I discovered that a friend ships a pairing that I'd never even seen her mention previously. So now I am curious.
So tell me, do you have a secret ship? What is it? Is there one that's too old/too new for you to have talked about, or one that runs counter to the your friends' ships, or simply one that, for whatever reason, you just don't talk about?
Leverage -- Okay, I assume everyone knows I like Eliot/Hardison/Parker and subsets thereof. HOWEVER, the thing most likely to make me ♥_♥ at the screen? Nate/Eliot. Nate/Eliot, you guys! I cannot textually render how much I LOVE them. Because, ok, I hate Nate/Sophie; they are awesome characters who are toxic together. But Eliot, I think, gets Nate -- and Nate's problems -- and could be good for him without being a doormat. And I think Nate could be good for Eliot, too, not least by encouraging the intelligence that Eliot tends to hide.
Psych -- At this point, my thing for Gus/Lassiter is not even a secret. It's more like my impossible-to-find ship. In fact, I am so clearly infatuated with Gus/Lassiter, that I'm betting at this point some people don't know I have huge weak spot for Shawn/Lassiter -- and I've gathered that I'm not supposed to? But I love rival slash! Schmoop is all well and good at times, but man, that pairing has a built in conflict that is like catnip to me. Point me towards the stories where Shawn is lying about his psychic abilities AND involved with Lassiter -- and the stories where Lassiter finds out definitively.
NCIS -- Tim/Tony I would say is obvious, except maybe not because I don't really discuss NCIS in my journal. And Abby/Gibbs. Seriously. I know how it's supposed to read, but they cross the border into flirty so readily. *hands*
I think that's it for potentially surprising ships -- but feel free to ask me about other fandoms, if you're curious.
Unrelatedly, if I stumble across one more unfinished 'hurt/comfort' fic that is not clearly labelled a WIP, I may cry, because it's not h/c if the only part written is the hurt!
