But I'm ignoring that. This post is actually a request for recs for a fandom I am completely unfamiliar with. Buffy. Well, completely might be overstating it -- I like the series. But I'm sufficiently unfamiliar with the ficcing part of fandom that I need assistance. I have a friend, who is fannish but not in fandom, and we were talking about the Buffy comics. Okay, so she was complaining about the Buffy comics, and I was nodding sympathetically, and eventually I offered to hook her up with some better stories. I said this confidently, even though my knowledge of Buffy fanfic is pretty much 1) dessert_first and 2) thete1. ETA: And jadelennox. I knew that.
But I have a secret weapon -- you guys! What have you read? What do you like? Please hit me with some recs -- gen, het, slash whatever. She's pretty open-- she just wants the characters to act reasonably like themselves, which apparently is not so much the case in the comics.
