what a blur these past few weeks have been- definitely not a break at all. Last week was filled with endless late nights shopping, wrapping, and getting ready for Christmas and Birthday. I turned 21 a week ago and had some fun time with my amazing friends.
I was in the Shores very little over break, most of my time was spent driving back and forth to the hospital in A2 and to Oxford to see my wonderful godmother and cousins, and from Lindas to mom's and back. But that's ok, I got to see my family and spend some time with them, I didn't have Christmas dinner at the hospital, it kinda scared me, I just waited for Linda to get home with leftovers. I also didnt go to church on Christmas Eve which is really sad, but I thought I would feel really sad if I went alone, so I watched Law and Order and hung out with Linda when she got home. I did get to see one of my best friends who just happened to get engaged over Christmas!!! Love you Alicia and I am so excited!!!!
I had to be back here for work Wednesday morning, and Liz and I have still been going non-stop. We made and decorated over 100 cookies for work and her family, and I have to say they are the cutest ever, we found the most amazing cookie cutters of every animal imaginable. We also have been playing with Brett and Johns cats and feeding them while they are away, Toby is being a little b, all attention starved and whatnot.
We went downtown last night to McFaddens and The Black Rose where we hung with Dave and his roommate and Neil came too and we caught up on life. Definitely made up a great story about going to Pres. Ford's funeral @ Grace Episcopal because I go to that church and was invited (no I don't and no we werent) so no idea where that came from, but I don't think we told him it wasn't true. Our plan was to crash at Dave and Jakes, but we decided we were better off going home so we could get up in the morning, yeah...I overslept an hour, but we still made it here only 5 minutes late. Tonight might be a movie night, we are pretty convincing, and we have lunch dates @ Panera with the guys, I can't wait, I am starving hungoverish girl who needs some carbs!
I'm not sure about New Year's yet...if all else fails I might head to Livonia and hang with my dad since I know he will be lonely. Who knows...thanks J.do for talking to my silli self last night and listening to the story 5 times over I'm sure.
FYI: A year ago tonight, Bretton and I met, basically one of the best things to happen to me in my life (and his too) but yeah, can't imagine not knowing this boy. Loves him! Happy Anniv.
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and has a Happy New Years! Sorry I haven't been keeping in contact with like anyone lately, no excuse really except a lot going on and I'm not really up to talking.
