I've entered the "constantly uncomfortable" stage of pregnancy. Little girl has been making great use of my inner pelvic bones and ribcage at the same time. Fortunately, I haven't gained quite as much weight this time around but that doesn't mean I don't feel huge.
I'm starting to also feel a bit stressed out. I have a lot of things I need to get done before the baby arrives. We finally emptied the office so that I can tackle the wallpaper and then paint it to transform it into Samantha's and the baby's room. (Samantha's old room will become a playroom/office since it's bigger). I have a much bigger design scheme than what we're going to be doing. But decorating is $$$ and we're attempting to get our emergency fund up to where it should be. (I want to replace the baseboard, add wainscoting and chair rail, plus put in a closet organizer system). I'm also in the middle of refinishing a dresser I got at goodwill for $25.
After Samantha's room is complete we'll be painting the new office since we haven't painted it since moving in and it's just... yuck. Give it a bit of life. Once everything it back in there I'll be firing up my new sewing machine I got for Christmas. Samantha's infant carrier is now expired (yes car seats expire) since it is an old one from a sister-in-law. Another sister-in-law just had a baby and her husband randomly bought a new seat even though their old one was fine. So I'll be using her old one but I *hate* the cover. I absolutely detest the "neutral" green that Graco uses. So, I've bought some fabric and I'm going to be covering the old seat cushion (and replacing the canopy) with some *cute* fabric. I thought of buying a new seat but I honestly don't like many of the fabric choices out there and why should I since there's a perfectly good one I can use?
Other projects I would LOVE to get to would include crocheting a "bring home" hat (I crocheted 8 hats for Christmas presents and have made a few more as well) and a cute baby blanket. But those aren't as pressing to me. I also really want to deep clean everything. I was sorting and throwing stuff away as we moved stuff out of the old office and I really want to do it to my bedroom, the bathroom, and the linen closet/pantry (which I just did... so maybe things just need to be refolded better).
So I need to get this all done in the next 6 weeks. ^_^. I'm due March 2nd, and Samantha came 2 weeks late. I'd rather NOT go two weeks over and some reasons to be this busy is that either a) I won't notice quite as bad when I do and b) maybe it'll put me in labor. I have told my midwife that I *won't* do the two week thing again. 14 days late and still get induced? yuck. She said they can induce at 41 weeks and 1 day (March 10)
