New Apartment:

We may have found some couches to put in the apartment. This would be a good thing, since at the moment we sit on the floor to watch TV. ^_^ I hadn't felt compelled to buy anything since we'd be here for such a short period of time. No point in trying to make it fit, is there?

Vacation to see my fam:

So, I'll only be back east for a week but we're going to make the best of it. I get in on the 28th of August. This is also the day that all my siblings start school. (School for me doesn't start until September 5th) I'm not sure what we'll be doing the first couple days (most likely Stephen will be helping my dad build... something. Whether that be a shed or some of the basement is yet to be seen.)

Thursday and Friday my mom is pulling my little brother and sister out of school and we're heading to the beach. We didn't want to be there on the weekend since it's Labor Day. And that would just suck. Then Saturday-Sunday, we're going to New York City. Saturday night we're going to stay in a Radisson hotel. The reason a Radisson is so important is because they have Sleep Number beds. Both my mom and I want one. Her bed is 20 years old... and in major sagging mode. My bed... well we're borrowing my bed from an aunt of mine. Anyway, my mom called me yesterday to tell me that Stephen and I will have a room with a King sized Sleep Number bed. ^_____^

Internship:

The internship is winding down. I only have 2 1/2 weeks left. Has it been worth it? The money has been. The company is cool. And I've learned stuff through the way companies work. However, I don't feel like I've been mentally challenged. Granted, I've been working with Excel the entire time... making little graphs. It's not like they aren't important... they are, i'm actually working for another plant at the moment. It's just not something I care to do after my 1000th graph.

New Car:

Stephen and I have been contemplating about getting a new car. The car we have now is a 1991 Toyota Camry, manual transmission. It's by no means a *bad* car... it's just not a *nice* one either. We don't really have the means to get a car right now, since we don't have a steady monthly income. (our income will be cut in 2 or 3 when school starts)

The cars we have mainly been looking at are the Honda Fit (new for 2007) and the Mazda3. Both are hatchback cars. We've determined that we want as much cargo space as possible. This'll be the "family car" and as such we need room for kin, whenever that happens. Stephen's liking the Mazda3 more and more because it has more power... mainly. It'd be an automatic, but both have ways to override the automatic... so Stephen could get some enjoyment out of it.

Anyway, that may or may not happen next summer (after we graduate). Granted, Stephen also wants to buy a house, get a puppy (lab) and other stuff. That'd be a lot to happen at once, so we'll see.
