Life under cats
You buy some especially expensive nice food for him and he wolfed it down as if he was ravenous so you're pleased right?
And then he decides he wants that food all the time. He does still eat his other food and likes it but that's boring right? So cue the nagging and pathetic wandering around me as if he's starving. Tricking me into thinking he wants to go outside only to lead me to here was the good food before places. Like the corner in the kitchen I fed him yesterday and the cupboard under the stairs where his food came from last year...
And the MOST especially "nice" method stems from the fact that he tends to eat right after he comes in from outside.
So guess who is having to get up every 5 min to let him back in?
Yeah right in one. After all after he's been busy outside (with an eggtimer that pings righter after I get comfortable back in my chair) and needs food! And the fact that I don't give him new expensive food every 5 min he just goes back out to try again.
"Hey mommafooddispenser, I'd like some Sheba please!"
"Here have some nice high quality kibble *shakes bowl and pets him*
"*snifs* That's nice, now lemmy have teh Sheba!"
"You can't have that food All the time sweety..."
"But I's hungry! look at me I'm sad, poor kitty, staaaaarving! I need Sheba!"
"stop whining and eat your normal food"
"That's not there...wasting away here!" *puts on his poor kitty face*
(Ever notice how good cats are at not seeing things they don't want to be there?)
Now that goes on a for a while longer and then he decides to go outside and I have to let him go via the front door because while the window is open that leads the wrong way or something. After which the whole cycle starts again, preferably with me having to wait for him at the door a while with him pretending he never wanted to go in when he came knocking at the window.
