"The One"

I've just been watching a Dutch tv series about love. Cafe de Liefde/Cafe Love, it's one of the best reporting shows I have seen in ages but as it is in Dutch I will not be able to give you any links...that irks me. If something is good I wanna share! *grmbls

Because no one speaks Dutch here? But hey I wasn't really thinking about you, I hope you can understand it though...

http://www.tvopjepc.nl/programma/1379 There you can see three episodes if I understand it right. It has a very Dutch feel to it, meaning you do get the artsy slightly smirking version of people's views on love. It has acted staged parts too they use to make a point.

Lovely skunks btw, I saw they are being kept as pets too...too cute! They raid the fridge and everything. (I love independent naughty creatures)

Yeah I always love such shows, especially if they involve some statistics and tips. And there is nothing quite like seeing a couple of old grey shrunken people still being totally happy together and hoping that they are the first to go because they would miss the other so much. That's really some successful marriage.

Sadly I think translating the shows would be too much work for any one person plus it is complex with many short bits flipping back and forth.

We have a show called Memories here too. They find people's long lost loves from when they were young. It's great o hear those stories even though they are sometimes sad. You see old pictures and thing and then they get to meet that person again, often from another country. Sometimes the people even end up together again! But mostly people just enjoy it or get some closure.

High quality tv.
