wooooo fun!
yay! journal entry! hehe. can i write about valentine's day since i'm sitting next to my valentine? hehe... *smitten*
after our huge load of classes on monday, which finally ended at 16.15, my valentine and i went to the supermarket on our way home, just to grab a few things that we desperately needed like juice and eggs. then my valentine and i went home to get ready for our valentine's day fun! i took a shower and got dressed in something pink, i think... while my valentine was dressed in a (HOT!) red shirt and (HOT!) black pants. we were looking so beautiful that we wanted to get a picture to remember everything. so our suitemate, michelle, came to take a picture of us. which was quite fun. :-D now we have wonderfully cute pictures of us in our valentine's day-y outfits. after this, we went on a walk to the restaurant (which i was picking, but had never been to before), and eventually found that it was right along the arno, basically just south of our appartemento... but kind of far. no where near the tourists, however, which was pleasant. we went in and were the first people there, because it just opens for dinner at 20.00, and that's what time it was. (italians like to eat late, strange). they told us that all the tables were reserved (:-(), but if we could eat by 21.30, we could sit somewhere (:-(). i thought it was bad and going to be ruined, but my valentine wanted to try it, so i trusted her. which was a good plan. as we were eating (sometime after i ordered our wine out of a ginormous BOOK of their wines... and ended up picking one of 3 which they no longer had, and therefore was given a more expensive wine for the same price...) one of the waitresses came to us and said that my valentine and i could stay passed 21.30 (:-)) apparently because someone had cancelled and now they had more tables. yay for the quick decision made earlier by my love. so we enjoyed are incredibly wonderful meal much more slowly than before, and even got to eat their incredibly wonderful and heavenly dessert (chocolate souffle). what a wonderful night, with my wonderful valentine.
