The more time I spend looking at Earth history, the more clear it is to me that the Hurrrg have interfered with its progress on many levels. Considering the vast insanity of human history, I think this is a good thing.

And you implying that they have been a cause, or a counterbalance, of human "insanity"?

I've seen humans act insane without alien assistance. Admittedly, my social sample of Hurrrg is quite small, but I'm willing to bet their historical impact on humanity has been one of moderation.

Our religion generally prohibits us from causing harm to others for our own gain, so I would agree with Khan. It is possible that my descendants were tracking down a group of rouge Hurrrg when they were discovered.

Though I am not privy to the files, I am beginning to suspect that some "subjects" in pre-21st century human experiments on primates were actually Hurrrg who sacrificed themselves for the betterment of Humans. Other types of "interference" may have occurred as well. A brief glance at history indicates that Zephram Cochrane may have lived near a chimp farm at one point.
