Circa Ep #7 - Zach's POV
OMG you would not believe it! After all this time I found the tape! What tape, you ask? Claire's tape. The tape OF Claire. The one where she kills herself like 20 times. Or at least tries to. It was just the weirdest thing. I just picked up the new Call of Duty 3 and I couldn't wait to play it, rushed home in search of my PSP and ended up abandoning the game to rush over to Claire's. You see behind my PSP, underneath my bed (yeah where I checked like a BILLION times thinking it might have fallen out) was Claire's tape. I chucked it into the video camera just to make sure, but it was the one and only. Considering it's been missing for how long now? I mean, I tore my whole room apart looking for that thing and I swear it wasn't there last time. But then, my room looks like a hurricane hit it in the best of circumstances (note, I actually had to look for my PSP), so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised it got stashed away somewhere. Though Claire's way of expressing gratitude is pretty funny, I never expected her to punch me for it.
Mrs Bennett was taking her dog to some show this afternoon. I swear she's more fanatical about that dog than any of her children. Can you believe Claire had to carry it out to the car so it wouldn't get its paws wet? I carried her bag out for her cause, you know, it always pays to make a good impression on the parentals. Not that she even cared I was there, just so long as someone was looking after Lyle.
It wasn't much later as I was passing their house on my bike did I see Claire chasing the little brat across her front lawn screaming for me to stop him. I dropped my bike in an instant, checking to make sure Claire was okay after she'd fallen as I ran after him and chased him into their SUV. Of course he locked the doors seconds before I could get to him, leaving me and Claire to bash on the windows and jump on the car to try and get him out. Hey, it was worth a shot. Claire tells me he gets car sick sometimes, so I hoped the suspension would work in our favour. We knew he couldn't stay in there forever. The idiot thought he'd make like a million bucks putting the vid up on Youtube. Seriously, if that site paid me for all the stuff I put up there, I'd be a millionare by now and could get out of this crappy town. And he accused me and Claire of being aliens. That's laughable. The kid's more way out than I am. So I told him we were gonna anal probe him *snicker* Claire told me to stop teasing him, but seriously, it was fun! What else could we do while waiting for him to get out of that damn car? She ended up getting really upset though which made me feel bad. All this adoption stuff she's had to go through. But, you know, it was enough to convince her brother which was good. Though I couldn't help but scare him again once he got out. You shoulda seen him run! Chicken. Haha.
