To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else.
i just finished a book series that i have been reading since the age of 8. my last real tie to my childhood likes and emotions has been broken. it is so surreal. i know what happens. i know how it ends. now we are going to be seniors and we'll start filling out college applications and shopping for a new location to house our new lives. and one year from now, we will have to split up. harry potter is over and high school is almost over and i'm not ready. i wish i had something left to grasp on to, because now it feels like all the short moments that can be contained in a year will slip away as quickly as sand.
