[Rinzler has gotten hung up on one of the weird apparitions.
The first one he spotted and immediately rounded on, warned by the tickling feeling of being watched--only to find nothing there. Subsequent attempts to catch these watchers in the act has yielded nothing to the Program's increasing frustration; they only disappear in the transition from the edge of his senses to being viewed straight on.
The only way to actually see them was not to look at them, so he's been watching the same one out of the corner of one eye for going on two hours now, frozen stock-still in the middle of the hallway with his growl at a low ebb.
...He's trying very, very hard to analyze it but it's just that far out of reach but if he turns his head it will vanish--Program JA307020_Rinzler is no longer responding. Abort/Retry/Fail?_]
