Posted late, due to not having time to get online. Three of us in the room and only one connection....
Early Friday Morning I have some time to photograph some of the stuff on exhibit. The Robots and some of the Classic Trek props and costumes. There is a filk panel at 11:30 that required some sound, so I am there to provide it. I find out that there is a dress rehearsal for HMS Trek-A-Star at 2:00 and that they want me there to assist with the sound requirements.
I got to see 15 minutes of Ann McCaffrey, then off to the soundboard. After the rehearsal, I go to the room to make some food to eat for dinner. The Friday Concerts do not have time for a dinner break. (
lapislaz and I are low carbers, so we usually bring a lot of our own food.)
The first performer was Lynn Maudlin, then Dick Eney. Both put on good shows. 30 minutes later we had Moira Stern and her wonderful harp. She did some music im memory of Cynthia McQuillin. At 8 was
mdlbear, then Roberta Rogow. Their concerts were opposite of the masquerade, so did not get a bid audiance. After the show, there was Space Flight Theme Circle. I sat in on that a while and then wondered to the Filk Lounge. There I was able to get some nice quality mp3s from the cassette version of Wolfriders Reflections. (We have the tape and the CD, but hate it due to over use of Reverb and Chours effects.) Later I got to check out Lynn Gold's, (Some Model Number), Roland Syth box thingie. We piped it through the sound system.
