today was the westwood night, so we went out to eat and wandered around. I saw Douglas Jeffers (uptight nfl ld champion that only wears cacky pants) in urban outfitters. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, and I wanted to take a picture, but that would have been wierd. I had a practice round today, and I think it wen't alright but I didn't do much strategy wise. The good news is the lectures have been internalized thus helping me realize that I wasn't extremely strategic. The other bad thing was I didn't use all my time, which is really rare for me, but It's good because my word economy is significantly better. Also I really enjoyed running a case with no standard and not being yelled at for it. So far at camp I have only seen one Negative case that is traditiional wisconsin style i.e. has a value criterion and contentions, but it was still read very fast. On a similar note, I killed a kid from my lab that tried running Topicality while shit spreading the rest of my case plus running his own advocacy. Comming to camp I had problems with 1ar time allocation, but that's getting much better, because I was able to handle that round with time to spare. so in general, sometimes boring lectures lead to progress, so yay! We go to the beach tommorrow, so I'm excited for that too.
