Last night I was involved in a pretty bad car accident.
We were taking my friend home after dinner at about 3am going through a curvy street when all of the sudden a dipshit in a civic cut us off. The car had barely pulled ahead of us so in order to avoid hitting the car my buddy swerved to the right and stepped on the brakes. As he tried to swerve back on to the lane we were in, it was too late.
We were not drunk, and we were only going at about 45mph, but it was enough to make my friend lose control of the car.
The car slid towards the sidewalk and thankfully the area where the car actually got on the sidewalk was on a wide driveway, otherwise the car would've flipped more than likely seeing at the angle we hit it.
We hit a light post with the left side which made the car bounce and spin counter-clockwise and bust through a fence facing the street
All three of us miraculously walked out of the wreck. Went to the ER to get checked out and none of us had major injuries at all. Just very light cuts, really bruised up and sore.
The car is totaled:
Might not look that bad, but the rear door is pushed in about a whole foot, at least. It's just like if it got t-boned.
I was on the backseat, but on the right side. If I had been on that left side, I don't think I'd be talking to you right now.
As for the guy that cut us off, he kept driving. At least we had witnesses that were in a car going the opposite direction that saw everything.
I'm just really fucking thankful my friends and I are alive. I don't care having the biggest bruise ever across my stomach and being barely able to move because it means the fucking seat-belt did what it's supposed to do.
