I have been so busy since i got back from spring break I have barely had time to check my e-mail. I went to a printmaking conference in kansas city over break. It was a lot of fun. There were some really interesting panels and some amazing galleries and exhibitions. I got to see the printmaker emeritus and meet all sorts of other big name printmakers. I wish i hadnt been so sick though because conferences are just one big excuse for printmakers to get drunk together and socialize. there was so much free booze. i had a lot of fun hanging out with jerry and scott and daniel and im really looking forward to the next conference. the best part was open portfolio because undergrad, grad, teacher, proffessional, etc all show work together and get feedback from one another and its really casual and fun.it scared me at first because im really shy and bad at "selling myself" so to speak but i did pretty good, especially compared to the guy next to me who just sat there and hardly spoke to anyone. i managed to sell a print for $45 and trade for a really nice print and i bought a ton of others. it was so much fun. anyways tiem to shower and get back to the studio...
