Some say
Wikipedia is the devil. I say it is the finest gift the world has ever created.
I was just on
CriticalMetrics.com creating a playlist of songs i wanted to hear when i remembered there is a song by the lead singer of Thrice i liked, though i couldn't remember how to spell his last name. So i run over to wikipedia, catch my breath, then look up Thrice so that i may get mr Kensrue's last name. While there, i peruse to see what wiki says about Thrice, which is my brother's favourite band. I enjoy them greatly as well. I took notice of how they support a few charities, one of which is called
To Write Love on Her Arms which piqued my interest so i went and took a looksee. I read their story and i would recommend you all go to their site. It is a site to aware and help those dealing from depression, addictions, and cutting. It is also seemingly geared towards the fans of my sorta music, going out on tour with some bands and speaking at shows. I won't get too long winded about it, but i really think it is a great idea and i bought a couple shirts to help support them. If you agree, please do the same.
And just think, if wikipedia didn't exist it would have been very difficult for me to hear of this charity. So take that Encyclopedia Brittanica!
