my new favortie thing: people who couldnt give a shit about baseball last week and now have all of the sudden become "fans" and use the sox as an excuse to get drunk and have parties just because they live near Boston

I totally agree with everything you just said, its so dumb when people just jump on the bandwagon and then consider themselves to be just as much of a fan as we, the people who have been fans for years, are. I mean granted its great to have people recognize how awesome the sox are but trying to play off like you'll be devestated if they lose just isnt cool cuz you have been around enough to KNOW real devestation.
