Ok so I didnt keep a holiday diary. I intended to but I had limited internet access, which drove me crazy at night! Luckily I had my trusty laptop with a shitload of torrents ready for my viewing while relaxing in the back of our campervan.
I was ready to come home towards the last leg (10 hrs straight from Dubbo to home, and 10 hrs the previous day driving from Appollo Bay to Shepparton).
The Great Ocean Rd is spectacular...I highly recommend flying to Melbourne and hiring a car to do the drive, its only 3 hrs from Melbourne.
The coastal trip to Melbourne was beautiful. Off peak season is the best for camping! We were able to enjoy a spliff each night in peace (except for the 2nd night in Kiama...a group of four teenage boys, drunk, approached us so we invited them to finish it with us hehehe).
The Australian landscape is unique, eeerie at times (Wolf Creek anymore?) I couldnt stop thinking about it! Our van was reliable however, so no freaky breakdowns in the middle of nowhere thank goodness. More to come later when I am motivated.
