01 - Write a Letter for a Wish

Mar 25, 2006 03:28

To the attention of Milo Rambaldi,

My name is Nadia Santos, I am sure that you know of me, if not by by given name but perhaps by another one. I am the one you called The Passenger in many of your manuscripts. I find myself compelled to write to you simply because I have to know why. Why my family? Why was this such an important piece of your life, that you had to weave it right into mine? You had this elaborate plan, and you saw so many things that would unfold, and yet you could not see that this would be such a devastating thing for those that you chose to involve in it?

Your lifes work has been scattered through out all the continents. Everything that you sought to bring to fruition has brought nothing but destruction and chaos to those that seek it out. My father has grown fully consumed by this, to a maddening state. He has harmed his own daughter, and those that were once closest to him. I wish you had the intelligence that those that follow you believe you had.

For someone as brilliant and revered as you I would have thought that you could have forseen more than your own demise. That you could have realized that setting these artifacts out for someone, anyone could prove more dangerous than you ever intended.

I am not even sure what your endgame was, but if it is anything similar to what I have seen assembled so far, I would have used every power I had available to stop you. It has created a madness among men. A race to find whatever pieces you have lain out for them to find, and it is dropping once great men to their knees.

I wish you were able to reply, I wish I could get some sort of definitive answer as to why. I wish I knew how you saw it fit to involve people you would never be able to meet into some plan that you knew you could destroy all of humanity.

I wish I had never heard of you Milo Rambaldi.

But it is far too late for wishes, that I know will never be granted.

Sincerely,

Nadia Santos
