trick or treat. that's how the whole year has been. More often than not i walk away from an encounter with rocks in my bag of tricks. even when i get the candy, it's either melted from being left in someone's pocket too long, soaked sticks of gum, or the tired 'ol red and white mints you get from any restaurant. so what of it. I heard on the news this morning that trick-or-treating was started by a tradition in ireland some 200 years ago when the impoverished people would knock door to door on all souls day to offer their prayers to the house's dead. Interestingly enough, the people who i work with in ireland have been off for the past couple of days. It's a big thing over there. I told somebody that it's prolly the catholicism's treatment of the holy dead. I heard that in hollywood, there are several rapes a year because people can't tell what's real or fake.
I haven't celebrated this occasion in years. i know it's my loss because everyone seems to have a great time. I don't have the motivation.
But for the rest of the world, may your halloween be full of ghosts and goblins.
