Spring Break was amazing. I'm so happy with things right now, I just don't know what to say. To begin with, not only did I become closer with friends who went on the trip, but I also began to understand more about a friend who wasn't with us.
This trip was a major chill trip, as in "kick back and let it flow." Things were so hectic there for a while - for all of us, which is why I hope that every single Suncoast student had the spring break of their life. This trip was a time to just let it all go and relax with our flexible plan. After seeing the unnecessary stress that was put into certain situations, the unnecessary things that were said, the unnecessary fights that took place at some points, I was able to better understand Lee. He wasn't with us, but I felt like the whole time, I was preaching the gospel that he always is. That I always used to preach as well. And it's just so... right.
What did I learn? What I've always known, but it's all so real now. Time shouldn't be wasted making life melodramatic, because when you relax about simple things and when you don't make them into a huge problem, you see that you should be having the time of your life. So what are you waiting for? Don't make things out to be the worst possible situation. Don't expect the bottom to fall out of everything. Appreciate what you have. Other people have it worse than you and you're too busy making your non-existent problems such a big deal that you can't even see that. Value the secrecy you can have with someone, because it's beautiful.
And as for shit talking
In the words of the great John Mayer
Talk is the same cheap it's been
And in the words of Kathryn
Sometimes you just gotta fucking laugh
