First attempt at a themed list: Crossover recs

Jul 02, 2007 12:37

Being quite enamoured of painless_j's themed lists and enormous lists of recs (check out her userinfo for the full list of them - her Harry Potter projects are the most impressive, but she's got stuff from several fandoms), I've decided to try a list of my own. It's actually not going to be fandom specific, by its very nature. Here is how this works:

I am looking for really good crossovers, from any fandom to any fandom. If you can think of any, please, please, please reply to this post with the title, author, fandoms, pairings, etc, and of course a link to the story itself. I'm counting on you to send me some really good stuff. If your suggestion fits, I will add it to the list. Also, any flist pimping would be much appreciated, as the larger the submission pool, the better the list will be, and the more people will be able to use it.

What I want:

*       Crossovers between any two fandoms, with the exception of RPS. All ratings, warnings and pairings  (het/slash/gen/multiple/whatever) are accepted.
*      The fic quality must be decent. That is, spelling and grammar must be reasonable (occasional typos will be forgiven in a really good story),  and the author must be familiar with the canon of both fandoms.  Also, the smoother the integration of the fandoms, the better.
*      Only bring stories that you actually like.
*      If the fic is not a crossover but a fusion (wherein characters from one work become characters in another, rather than interacting with them), please let me know in your reply.  I may later make a separate list for such, and in any case would like to keep them separate.

What I don't want:

*       Anything that is poorly written or in which the author has a poor grasp of canon of either/both fandoms.
*      Metaverse or Meta fic (that is, the characters are aware of being characters, unless we're talking about, say, Fushigi Yuugi, where the characters kind of are characters. Or something).

If you have crossover art, rather than fiction to recommend, you should bring it to sulky_rhino here.
