eep, commenting with wrong journals and shit. i suck. but i fixeded it. XD

yeah, the drama is seriously frustrating. and whenever one thing ends, another starts. it's neverending. D:

i really did like city of ashes better, actually. so at lunch today karri was looking at it and thinking of things that could happen in it and she said that alec would probably die trying to save jace (because he's just that gay, i think was her exact phrase XD) and then when i was reading it in study hall afterward, i was reading about the battle on the ship and alec falling over the edge and i started freaking out. i was like "omg no she can't be right, no fucking way." but then it was all fine and dandy. it's always amusing to see how many ways simon can be thought dead and then not be. oh, and i was just thinking about this earlier, but clary really reminds me of bella. like a lot. and i hated how when she finally found the courage to tell him that she wants him, he finds the courage to tell her that he's backing off. ugh, it was so infuriating! wow, i totally didn't mean to rant that much.

I'm not really that fond of Alec, so I actually probably wouldn't be that disappointed if that were to happen.

Okay, j/k. I wouldn't wish death even on a fictional character. But srsly, I don't think there's been a time in the books where he hasn't somehow gotten on my last nerve.

Now that you mention it, Clary does remind me of Bella in some ways. Except, no offense, but I like Clary, like, a thousand times better than Bella. She's a stronger female lead than Bella is when it comes to decision making and other things such as that. For example, the way Bella's so willing up her entire life without a second thought just because someone is, say... sparkly. And I'm not just saying that because I want her to finally just choose Jacob and have lots of wolf babies (well, maybe a little. I'm just bitter. Ignore this.)

I could have screamed when that bit at the end happened. I mean, how fucking convenient was that? Damn you, Cassandra Clare...

I didn't like Alec in this one, but in the first he didn't really annoy me. He was just sort of there. XD Isabelle, on the other hand. She annoys me. It's that stupid cliche tough warrior chick stuff, who never cries or shows pain and is really strong and perfect and beautiful and blah blah blah.

I like Clary better also, because she actually thinks about herself instead of just being selfless and willing to kill herself for any reason that seems good at the time. she's more realistic, because she actually thinks about things and doesn't just immediately want to solve the problem by throwing her life away. and really, the only trait that's clearly noticeable about Bella is that she's selfless. Clary is a more in depth character, which is what I like about her.

and yeah, I'm kind of liking the idea of little wolf babies too. XD Jacob just seems more passionate to me than Edward. Bella's relationship with Jacob just has so much more potential. He's more alive than Edward, for lack of a better term. I don't really think that Stephenie Meyer put a lot of work into Edward and Bella's characters, to be honest. it seems like the only thing that really is shown about them is that they're in love. and that fact rules everything they do or say, and it sort of makes them plain. because it's just not interesting past the initial start of things.

gah, I really want to know when the next book is coming out. XD stupid Cassandra Claire, giving me a cliffhanger. ftw.

So, you basically said everything I thought and put it in better (and less bitter) words than I would have. Every single freaking scene with Edward and Bella is the same:

Edward: You're so beautiful my everlasting love, but you really should stay away from me - even if I never leave you alone.
Bella: Oh, Edward! *blush, swoon, etc* *trips and breaks something, like an arm or a leg*

At least with Bella and Jacob it's more of a schoolyard romance that we actually got to see happen. I mean, I understand why Bella and Jacob are in love, but I for the life of me can't see why Bella and Edward ever fell in love. One day they barely ever conversed, and the next they were claiming eternal love. Um, what? Come again?

I'm pretty sure it's coming out this time next year. :( Far too long to wait.
