ok, so I had to wake up with an alarm clock (this was not supposed to happen, as I was supposed to be done with all my finals yesterday), and went on down to Cummings to talk to biodudeprof Strauss about the paper. He thinks I should have chosen a differentn article to write on, that I had bad sentence structure for a potential English major, and that I didn't entirely grasp the science that the article was discussing (all fair and true), but he thinks that I worked really hard and deserved a better grade than the fucking TA gave me, so he upped it from a D to a B. It was a relief, a release, and he once again proved himself to be a sweater-vested, balding, avuncular, really nice old guy.
and then I left and was on Ellis and I realized that I could pick up my various art projects from this quarter, so I did, and I got to walk back home with my six ugly paintings under one arm and felt all artsy.
I am trying to decide what I want to do today. Today and Friday are free, and then I bring Milsark home to LA with me on Saturday.
I am glad that this quarter is almost over. There have been some good bits, like eating cheap Mexican pastries over the big city blinking, and seeing Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and going to the Conservatory, and showing off skill in crossing streets, and making an atlas book in art, and walking loops in parks, and drinking orange juice, and goetzing out, and lying on Milsark's bed, but all in all, I am ready for sitting on the beanbag chair in my green room at home and lying on the grass and driving on Sunset Blvd.
