Poem:1

She Turns the Kelly Shirt

Youth breeds sweet skepticism
Hormones are endless
Except for her, why?
She's always sometimes and
Quite never part of both
Singing national anthems
Making pancakes on the stove
And then she turned the kelly shirt.
The loft of the barn
Was the first time.
I wish we had known
Each others moms and dads,
Seen our rooms when we were six
To see when innocence was a trait that still
Kept you safe.
Staring out of this bus window
Looking across the field
The sun barely rising over the tree line
And how bright your eyes are
And how your smile could cure
All the world's problems!
Ah, how youth breeds skepticism.
Part of cheap champagne
And steel guitars only two
People matter,
Not myself only everytime
And my sister.
All I can see is a cold steady rain
Brightened by the shirt that
kelly turned.

poem:2

I'm Gorg and That'll Be 156 Dollars Please
There were mirrirs and
unacknowledged nods.
"Whats with all the drag?"
"It's funny, isnt it?"
he said matter of factly.

The rapid ear movement
moves and burns through
times when you didnt know
or even care.
But
when being wrapped up in yourself
the bad part isnt being,
its realizing it.

Poem3: Nikes dont come cheap

Do you remember the time
I had to pick you up and
carry you outside beacuse
you were going to be sick?
and then i went and got sick myself
but cleaned up and still carried you up
to your bed?
and it doesnt make since
to say things you havent seen on t.v.
or believe the words written
on that cereal box, but
when i walked home
and you locked me out,
i thought about how telling
it would never be part of
my life or never a part of
myself.
i drank the coffee you gave me,
and smiled.
