thirty six // 32 icons
Here's my entry for round two at 20muses, where we basically got our inspirations from playing a "board game" of sorts using random dice rolls. It's such a fun and unique challenge, and I knew I had to take part no matter what. But stupid me didn't set aside time to make icons until... this Tuesday, actually. This is the result of three days of furious iconning. I had to half-ass a bunch of icons, but I also have some that I really ended up liking. So, eh, mixed bag.
I usually get really inspired by songs (which seems to be a minority opinion for this round) and less so by color palettes, so I was a little bummed that I got a bunch of the latter. But I guess that's the luck of the draw?
Jessica Jones is pretty much my solo iconning muse these days. It's just so good, guys. I mean, it features a strong, snarky, flawed woman and a strong female relationship that is deep and complicated and doesn't revolve around men. That in itself is a miracle. The story's really dark and engaging, and the twists and turns can be unpredictable and often times shocking. I've always loved Krysten Ritter and this was the perfect role for her.
Mr. Robot is another great show. I've never watched Fight Club before, but I've heard that the two have a few similarities. The show makes you question if what you're seeing is real, and it's one of those quietly intense shows that really sucks you in.
