Some time ago, elsewhere, in a galaxy far far away someone argued that Switzerland and "several Scandinavian countries" proved their theory that more guns would prevent crime, seeing as said countries required each household to be armed and crime was (relatively) low.
Load of bullshit, of course, but it's an easy enough claim to make if nobody calls you on it. I didn't know much for sure at the time, but a bit of asking around made it clear that, at best, she didn't know what she was talking about.
The absolute bullshit that people say and don't get called on is...frightening. Because I know some scary people believed everything that was said last night. That's...it's just frightening.

1) The "commemorative bullets" haven't been selling to members. First they tried selling them, then they moved to just giving them away. He got one as a "free gift" at some point.
2) Considering they weren't remotely designed to be fired from a gun, and they have a hole through them to hang them from something they aught to be called ornaments.
