JoinRED.comWorld AIDS Day 2010 And now for something unrelated. I got this message to a post I made on Facebook: "what's up with all of the gay posts?" It was on a link to a blog post about
the UN voting to remove sexual orientation from executions protections (seriously, what the fuck UN?!), from my brother's fiancée. I'm confused, because we aren't the closest friends in the world by any stretch of the imagination, so I don't know why she cares. I'm probably either going to ignore her question or respond with something like, "I'm an advocate for gay rights!"
I've settled on panaesthetic-panromantic-demisexual as my label (but I think I'll mostly stick with "not-straight" or "bisexual" for simplicity's sake), but fuck if I'm going to discuss that with her. I'm only out to two of my friends, and I'm not officially out to anyone in my family yet (although my cousin and my aunt have asked me before about having a boyfriend or a girlfriend; and my brother found someone with my name on MySpace who is apparently a super!lesbian, which led to an interesting discussion, to say the least), but I want to come out to my mom before anyone else. Eventually (I'm a little nervous because of a conversation I had with her where she "aired her doubts" about bisexuality; it made me D:). Honestly, I don't care about what anyone else in my family thinks of me, but I don't want my mom finding out from Facebook or some idiot who doesn't know what she's talking about.
*sigh* Oh, people in the world.
Peace, y'all.
