Strangely, this year I'm really looking forward to the fall and winter. There's no particular reason for it. Usually, I hate the cold. It's just a feeling I have.

I really wanted to write a long final review of Torchwood MD to close my latest fannish indulgence, but I got distracted. Now, it feels like it's been ages since it ended. I enjoyed MD, more so than the show I enjoyed to be fannish. I hadn't watched anything new for a while. It's been nice to write reviews again and indulge in everything that's been going on around the show.
I don't need to watch more of TW though. Not really. I doubt they can explore Jack and Gwen any more than they already did and I mostly enjoyed the character moments in MD. The actual plot didn't excite me that much.

How I came to my new distraction.
Someone asked on twgenrefinders whether there were any Janto fics with alpha!Jack and omega!Ianto similar to a Sherlock fic they had read. There are none. I became curious. I read the Sherlock fic in question (having never read any Sherlock fic before), which prompted me to google, which led me to a post about werewolf fic in SPN fandom with examples. I of course read the examples (having never read any spn fic before).
Then two people on my flist made a post that mentioned werewolves. Coincidence, I thought. "Teen wolf" was mentioned. I googled, again. Did some reading. And before I could help myself I had watched all 12 episodes. The show cries teenager. The romance between Scott and the girl is very hard to watch. And yet here I find myself being quite enamored with the Stiles/Derek fic. Oh my. And all because of that TW request. I wonder if someone in the world connected the dots as I did and took that same kind of path.
