Torchwood
I was wondering how many people would watch Torchwood Miracle Day. I find this poll quite interesting. Right now it appears more people are watching than not, though the non-watching people might be catching up.
I think it's worth giving it a try. I've watched the 10 min 'making-of' pre-view and I loved the funny scenes. The trailers didn't make me especially excited for Bill Pullman's character and the PR woman. But Rex at least has me interested, and Jack and Gwen of course.
I was wondering what would put me off watching. I would probably not be interested without Jack. The darkness will probably not put me off, although it's been said that Miracle Day will be even darker than CoE, but what I think helps is that Torchwood is so unrealistic that these things don't get to you as much as they would do if it wouldn't be that kind of show.
Speaking of darkness, what I wouldn't care at all to watch again is something like "the silence of the lambs" or its sequel. Absolutely not. Some things are still haunting me from the sequel.
These last weeks I read a wonderful TW wip that is now finished. It had me really looking forward to each new part so much so that I was refreshing the page over and over. I could keep reading Janto fic. I don't see myself being bored anytime soon.
What has me a bit annoyed recently is the Gwen bashing fics. I think the dislike of Gwen makes some writers who otherwise write very well suddenly write incredibly badly. What would interest me is to write a fic where Gwen is really characterized as an unlikable character and not just given standard lines, which are not making me dislike her. On the other hand I would like to write a nice Gwen/Ianto friendship fic.
I've also found recently one or two fics where Ianto is the one who needs to make amends to Jack and I could read more fics like that since it's usually the other way round and that bores me a bit, although I read those too.

Today I got up early and made again muffins. Recently I see muffin recipes all over the internet. Today I made apple-banana muffins and last week I made classic blueberry muffins, and I'm considering to try another recipe next weekend.
