I haven't said anything in a while. Just been busy, like always. Closing weekend at Northern went well. It just seems like this run went by way too fast for me. I really loved being able to be in the final prog for the first time in years. That meant a lot to me. Bytes closed, it makes me want to cry. I feel so much love for the community there, and I'm working on a final tribute project of sorts. But it's going to be a while to get it all together. Anyway, it's just weird not having that place exist. It's like an instintive need that I have to pop in there and say hi to people and it goes unfulfulled. So a big shout out to all you Bytes people, I hug you all.

Work's ticking along. It got quiet rather suddenly, just as my coworker's off on vacation. Our temp has been hanging around doing more hours to make sure we're covered. It's been nice being able to interact with her more than usual, and learn from her. She's sharp as a tack, and can teach me a lot. It's nice when you get to work with people who are so on top of things. But it's been earily quiet, so I expect that means that it'll pick up soon. I think people are holding off on stuff because they know my department head is gone. On the plus side, I've had time to wander a little bit and help out lots of folks around the building. New PC's are being installed for everyone in the company. That means lots of people are having issues with configuring their machines. And I've been helping the IT guys with pulling equipment out of boxes and cleaning up the packaging mess. It's nice to do some unsupervised manual labor.

I'm off to Kearny Park this weekend, to do the last faire of the year. I'm looking forward to firing the matchlocks one last time before winter, and relaxing with the looped founders. Hope I'll bump into more of the faire community.

I should also mention that I made it to Gaskells two weekends ago. I had a really nice time there, thanks to a the ladies who showed me the dance floor and what to do on it. They're good friends and that helped me to really relax and enjoy it. Thanks a lot Laura, Ellen, Becky LaTerza, Roo, Kirsten and especially Christina. You all made me feel great and I want to go dance again. My thanks to another Christina for conning me into going. I owe YOU a dance!

That's all, time to go pass out and get some well needed sleep.

Pretzels for everyone, on the house!
