So I saw Voyage of the Dawn Treader today. It was somewhere between okay and pretty good. It was kinda choppy in parts. I don't know if it was an editing issue or what. Wow, I didn't even know they made a movie of Jane Eyre! I really enjoyed the Masterpiece Theatre version, though. I like the actress they've chosen, from the look of it. But goodness, they made it look scary, didn't they? Her obsession with naughty Victorian literature is amusing, though. :P

Have you read the book? Yeah, this definitely looks creepier than other versions, but it kinda fits the book, really.

I haven't read the book, actually, so I'm basing everything I know off the Masterpiece Theater version. Didn't she have silly fantasies about heated and insistent proposals or some such, during a thunderstorm, complete with breathy, "No, never!"s?

Hm, I don't remember that from Jane Eyre. I think that might be Jane Austen's Northanger Abbery. That one's pretty much a parody of torrid novels, lol.
