this house
A few blocks away on Hayes, is this run down victorian. For the people who know me, they know I'm a modern person. But for the past month, I've fallen more in love with this house each time I pass it. It's literally in shambles, but I want it. Curved windows are now my favorite architectual design. They have shot past gothic pointed arches, and trees in the middle of your house. The front of the house has no stairs. And for a house in San Francisco, it's a big deal that it has space on both sides of it. I know it's a Victorian, and after growing up with my mom, and her light blues and wicker and pepto bismol pink dining and bedrooms, I thought I'd never even want to set foot in one. But they just seem so old, and full of memories. I'd to keep the outside victorian, but make modern touches inside. You know, like electricity. I love hardwood floors. I want to marry them. So I have a goal in my life. Sure it's a materialistic goal, but right now, it just seems the right thing to want and strive for.
