I've gotta say... Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 is my favorite game, ever.
It's mind-bendingly awesome.
They got rid of the stupid gun "upgrades". The revamped graphics are as trippy as ever. The remixed music is outstanding. The new enemies, while perhaps a tad easier, are as plentiful and varied as ever. The geoms adapted from the Wii's Version of the game are a welcome addition compared to the original's static x10 multiplier. Also the new game modes will keep me busy for forever and ever. <3
I can see how a LOT of purists will say the original is better since, honestly, it IS more challenging. But this has friggin' multiplier! I can't wait to try fourplayers. XD It's going to be madness!
