There's no penguins in Alaska
Happy Labor Day to all of you who had the day off - in the restruant industry, days off are usually relegated to a) christmas, b) thanksgiving and c) easter. Since today was none of those days, nor a Thursday or Saturday, I was obivously at work. Something about a day off really makes people go to restruants, and we were quite slammed as a result. However no one seemed to order off the broaster which meant I got to look busy while pizzas and steaks were cooked with reckless abandon.
In other news, Dani gets back from camping tomorrow. I have missed her, but at the same time it's ... well, hard to put in words. The poor thing is a year behind me in getting over a traumatic relationship and sometimes it's hard to know what you can do in this situation. Maybe it's time to move on, but I really do like the girl. It's just hard to tell someone to not take life so seriously when you yourself just got past that point.
It's not like all we do is talk about her problems though. Most of the time we just have fun and do stuff like a normal pseudo-couple, and that's all I want right now. And I think the only times we've fought over anything one or both of us were pretty drunk (as my old roomates can attest too, haha) so it's not anything serious. I just want her to let herself be happy.
Only bummer in my life; no car. And because I don't make a lot of money and don't have very well established credit I got denied on a loan. Balls. Maybe a dealership will cut me a deal - I'll check some shit out after I get paid Wednesday.
