i must say not quite because while i ended up doing that thing today which i was distressing about yesterday, i was comfortable with it until a comment was made. at least it wasnt a comment about what i *thought* was going to be commented on. that makes it almost ok, yet a comment was made.
i brought a bunch of good beef and pork and a lil fish to a bbq and set up the fish and first round of beef and it seems that only the person actually making sure the meat doesnt get burned and not the person who did prepare it or buy it gets any credit. someone helped me out immensely in the kitchen by grinding (freshly ! ) peppercorns to put in my classic-style salt-and-pepper dry rub for the meat. my hands were getting tired doing it and she did such a good job while i got my hands all messy and bloody with meat that i was impressed. i wish there had been butter so she couldve helped me with the fish too. either way, i guess nobody cared that we worked hard to get the food ready, just that some dude handed it to them off the grill. ::miffed::
well, thats ok. i think people liked the blueberries i brought too. and maybe the coke, cause the coke was completely gone and the blueberries down to about 1 cup left or less... out of maybe a 10 or 12 cup package or something.
ive never been in a salt water pool before. it was kind of neat to keep my eyes open a lot underwater without them stinging. it made diving so much more fun. my lungs didnt take lengthy dives as well as they once did, but i suppose thats to be expected as im out of practice. treading water and swimming was as fun as ever, though. i could have done it all night, but the party was dying down a bit so i didnt want to be stuck out in the pool (or slowly cooking in the hot tub lol) when everybody had gone inside.
we saw unbreakable and chocolate and i think everybody liked both mostly. i brought more movies than just those two, but we cant watch them all :))
some cute-ish asian girl was drunkenly firting with me with her boyfriend right next to her, which i also found amusing.
a girl i know was dressed up nicely and swam today at the party. i had fun seeing her. she seemed like she was enjoying herself, too, which was nice.
it was also pretty nice to meet a few adult-ish people at the party. its nice now and then to hear some adult humor and jokes without them being from me and hearing them talk about things in a more experienced way. i guess you could say its refreshing? mostly because they werent too serious. except for the russian girl. lol.
thats most of my news from the bbq. time ot hang up my keyboard and sleep for tomorrows service and lunch to collect cash.
if i think of anything else, i may post. wee...
i feel so awake, but if i close my eyes for too long, i know i will almost mostly fall asleep.
