I only even vaguely know who ONE of these people is. Do you people have friends with a handle similar to idoru? Do you like my list of interests? I certainly don't have enough public posts for you to decide I'm interesting.

Hi, no, I don't have another friend with that similar name. Could be your interests, but honestly I don't remember. I add people usually because of interests or something they write. Honestly though, does it matter? =) Some people seem to get very upset when other people they don't know add them as "friends" for no reason apparant to them. I find this kind of thinking extremely anti-social and I wonder why they bother having an online journal at all. (Not that I think this of you, it's just an observation I've made over the years I have been here.) To be honest with you, I think the root of the problem lies in the naming "Friends". It would be more apt to call it "Interesting Blogs" or "Interesting People", but it was probably too long and LJ wanted to create a friendly atmosphere. This is just my, not so humble, opinion though. ;) If it upsets you that I have added you, I am more than happy to remove you. It's not hard and won't bother me one bit. I certainly don't want to earn anyone's ire. All you have to do is say the word. That said, it's probably time to clean out "dead" journals again anyway.

Best regards,

It isn't a problem for me, it just makes me terribly curious. i friends-lock about 98% of my posts, if not more, so i never understand why new people friend me -- there can't have been anything that recent for them to read, y'know?

Cool. I see, well, perhaps you should let people know this. (Maybe you have? hahaha.) I haven't been to your journal in ages probably. I rarely ever sit and read journals as it is anyway, even of best friends. Mostly I depend on the "Friends" section. I look at it about once a week or every two weeks, briefly glance over most of it, and make comments on stuff of interest. Perhaps this is what others are doing too? I don't know. =)
