A couple of drabbles
More Lj-versary fic, this time for jolinar_rosha who gave me two prompts and since they are only drabbles I did both of them!
Nothing you recognise is mine. Apologies for anything OOC with the Heroes characters, and I am sorry I've not done more with such great ideas, but I only watched season 1 so I didn't feel confidant to do any more.
Prompt 1:XMen/Heroes. Because, Magneto would have tried to recruit Sylar so fast, Sylar's head would spin.
Charles had tried to warn him, tried to tell him he didn’t know what he was taking in. But Eric had refused to listen, assumed that his old friend was attempting some new mind game.
He wished he’d listened.
Sylar was more than an apt pupil, in using his gifts and in tactics. But now Eric realised that his protégé did not share his high ideals for the future of mutantkind, nor his morals. Eric was foremost a political leader, a guerrilla fighter willing to do anything and everything necessary to promote the Brotherhood of Mutants.
Sylar was a sociopath.
Prompt 2:Heroes/Highlander. Because, Claire's power makes her practically immortal. And so does Sylar's, now that he's got hers (and lets not forget Adam). One of them must have/would have/will come in contact with regular Immortals at some point, right? :)
It was a brave new world that had such people in it and no mistake.
Methos could never let himself get attached, never believed in anything or anyone. Everybody died, mortal or Immortal, and every person he’d ever met had traded their ethics to extend their existence by even a day. Even the Highlander had let him down eventually, betrayed his code of honour for the right price.
But here was something new, something possibly truly immortal. So as Methos laid in bed and stroked Claire’s hair he did something he could not remember doing before. He dared to hope.
