Update
First of all massive {{{{HUGS}}}} to all my flist, you're wonderful and I love you lots.
My mam is doing better. They operated to remove the worst of the tissue and then gave her the other treatment (we're referring to them as her 'little friends' or the 'Garretts', which is funny if you're a fan of The Sentinel, or the 300 because there were 300 and we laughed at the mental image of 300 little dudes with Spartan shields and swords attacking the bad stuff!). They're going to review it all in a few days and then see what's next.
For those interested who aren't on my flist and are wondering what I'm on about, my Mam is in hospital which is why I haven't been about for a while (I literally haven't even been on a computer in about two weeks, only checking mail on my phone)
Oh and my sister has a bad case of flu so I've been nursing her for the last three days.
In other RL news, I am now out of a job. Past Times as it was is no more, but the website was purchased so the name will continue. We were quite pleased about that until we discovered that the buyers were actually the same company that already owned us under a different name! So they wrote off all their debts, got a huge tax break and now get to carry on while we're all out of jobs. We're fuming about what seems like a huge con to us, and I personally can't believe such behaviour is legal. Immoral, yes. Illegal, sadly not.
One good bit of news is that I've finally been recced on Crack Van for Shaman You, which makes me intensely happy - I feel like I've finally made it as a fanfic writer! :D Plus the rec has driven up the hits on AO3 to a staggering 1203! I'm stunned and very, very happy.
Anyway, my presence is likely to continue to be spotty for the near future, but I'll update when I can.
