Firefly/Highlander crossover fic
This is my first foray into the world of Mal Reynolds et al, so I brought Richie and Methos along for the ride. Yes I know that makes this denial so I apologise to any purists but he's my puppy and I love him. ;p
It isn't slash and I hope it isn't OOC at any point.

The dialogue thing is something that crops up again and again, I think it's because I started writing scripts when I was doing film at art school which is why my fic tends to be a bit dialogue heavy occasionally. I tend to just switch between speakers thinking that the change of line is enough because in my head it plays out like an ep and I can see all the characters saying their dialogue. I guess I have to pull away from that mentality and get used to writing prose again.(Something I haven't really done since secondary school)
You're right about Mal, he should have commented about the French in the bar, I guess I was galloping on, trying to get them on Serenity ASAP. Cutting dialogue that isn't driving the story is another flaw I'm guilty of. :)
The River part I loved, very her
Glad to hear it. I am a fan of FF but I have to admit that I'm not as completely absorbed in that world as I am HL or DW, so I was concerned about writing for them, especially River, so I'm really pleased you thought it worked.
