[On the way to the general store there's a somewhat annoyed-looking guy walking home with a bag of groceries in his hands. Or at least, what he could still find that would help the household get by. Still, he's not so irate as to not offer a nod and greeting to Karina as they get within conversational distance of one another.]
[And right at that moment, his body is enveloped in a blue silhouette, and his body shape changes almost instantly, eliciting a loud crumple of protest from the grocery bag.]
-For cryin' out loud-!
[Now the guy's voice has a mechanical echo in it. As the blue glow faes away, his body's no longer human. He's still the same height, but now he looks more like a human-sized Gundam or Autobot. But judging from the way he's shaking his head and holding the nearly-crushed bag out away from him, he's not happy.]
[Gat's attention is brought back to Karina after hearing her drop her groceries. Initially, the annoyance at the sudden transformation is still audible in his voice, though it fades away fast enough.]
A NEXT-? Ain't ever heard that term before. That another term for an android?
[Gat then sets his somewhat-crushed bag of groceries down on a dry, iceless spot of the sidewalk, stepping over to help pick up some of the canned goods.]
