That bottling things up hurts Pete though, and tears him up from the inside. It’s nice for his friends, but for Pete’s own health, he needs to get it out and vent.

Same personality here and wow, do I understand him a little better. I used to think his actions were OOC whenever they had him blow up and lash out at Chloe and Clark.

It's interesting that most people don't cut Pete as much slack as they as they do the rest of the cast including Clark on RedK and Lex (Hug, Dichotic), who have done worse things than Pete (during those three instances), YMMV.

I'm a huge Pete fangirl, but it took me until writing this essay to think of his actions as anything but OOC too. But it suddenly hit me in the process of writing that it wasn't as out of character as we all might have thought. From the perspective that he keeps things inside, it's to be expected that he might go nuts under the influence.

I love that these essays can bring up new perspectives. *g*

the reason we all gravitated to Pete in some way or the other was because of unrealized potential.

At least SJ3 will always remember that *we* loved Pete.

I hope he randomly shows up sometime this season - that would just be so awesome.

I'm really hoping he shows up too. We can't just have the random ignoring of him *forever*. He knows Clark's secret. That's a really important character.
