That was wonderful. Will's been my favorite since the beginning because I like seeing the growth and depth of his character. You described him so well throughout this so thanks for such a good read. I also like how you mentioned that people who pass will off as wooden and inconsequential are losing an important part of the movie because I agree. So many people would like to see more movies with just Jack (heh), but the fact is that it wouldn't work. Jack works because he's placed in contrast with characters like Will. Take away that dynamic and you lose not only an important part of the story but also an important part of Jack.

It took me a little while to get "into" Will, but the longer time passes, the more I like him. That's the proof of a really good character, to me.

What is your particular preference for the characters' fates (including Will), if I can ask?

I'll definitely do that. I never have much time for discussion boards and stuff outside my own journal. I lurk and whatnot, but I never find myself having the time to really get into the discussions.

I'm pretty much open to anything, although I'm very spoiled, so I sort of know how a lot of the characters are rumored to end up. I'll mention my personal preferences though. I want Will and Elizabeth together because I just don't understand the JE attraction. I think I would like it a lot better if my only interactions with J/E fans weren't with those who are extremely obnoxous about why JE are "meant to be." I want Jack to be off with the Pearl I guess. I don't really see him as being one to settle down anywhere for too long. I want Norrington to live and Bill too since I've loved the idea of him since the first movie. I can't really think of too much more than that. Like I said, I'm interested to see what the writers choose to throw at us.
