life, etc
I had so much to write about. And of course now, I can't really remember what any of it was. I just watched a video of 9 to 5, I think it's the last one they did before they came to Broadway. It is so awesome. I laughed very loud several times. There were a couple of what I call inappropriate giggles too, like when Stephy sings "no good deed goes unpunished." and when someone says to Megan "This is never going to work" - I don't know if these were intentional, but you kinda have to believe they aren't, in the grand scheme of things.
What else. Oh yes, I had a dream the other night, where I met Susan Blackwell. She did that thing, and I don't know if other people get this, but it happens when you are gushing at someone about how awesome they are, and they kinda look at you like they are planning their escape route. So yea, we did not hit it off well in my dream world. Which made me wake up a little sad.
I've been really listless the past few days, I can't really focus on anything. I couldnt even watch Steel Magnolias all the way through last night, and just kinda drifted off to do something else. I've found the most comforting thing in the world at the moment is to play on my xbox, while listening to Jeff Blumenkratz podcasts. But I've nearly listened to them all now, and that makes me sad.
So lots of feeling sad recently - that probably is related to the listless thing, and not being able to concentrate.
Oh, and my dad almost caught me smoking today, that was disturbing. But he so doesnt want to think that I smoke that he could probably catch me with an actual cigarette in my mouth and I'd be able to lie myself out of it.
I got and read Cheno's book this week and it was as awesome as expected. I'd have liked more talk about her Broadway friends - but i blame RPF for that. There were a few things that bugged me, like a couple of typos, and one of the photos labelled incorrectly. Oh and also, when she was talking about auditioning Elphabas, she said the last five they were down to were great - Idina, Steph, Julia is three, was Sho in there? and who else? Because
I know Eden didnt audition originally, right? That's been bugging me.
On a related Wicked note, I watched some British theatre website's advert for Wicked, from when Alexia was in it previously, and there were some shots of the show and I couldnt place who the Elphies or Glindas were and it really annoyed me. I've never seen the understudies or standbys so I guess it could've been them. But it was edited in a really annoying way, to suggest that we were actually being shown Alexia and Dianne. Stupid people.
