Attention Writers and Potential Writers!

So, I'm hearing that the deadline is TOO CLOSE OMG. And clex_monkie89 and I were already worried about that, because we kind of thought so too. I had originally thought that we could do posting in December before Season 9 started gearing up. But what would y'all think about posting in January? I never watch the audition episodes anyway (shame on me), so it ( Read more... )

I think it shouldn't be too late because people are likely to get all sorts of wrapped up in season 9 (I won't, but I'm sure there are more who will.)

Also, I'm getting transferred over from American Bang and I was planning on working on a different time frame, so I'm a little concerned about pulling this off--especially because I'm taking 18 credit hours this semester and I'm doing NaNoWriMo in November (I'm crazy, I know). I'll just try my best! :D

See, that's what I was thinking! I probably will, lol, at least once we hit Hollywood Week.

I'm starting to think doing first draft deadline on Jan. 14th or the next week might work. That's only two weeks short of the americanbang deadline, and still early enough in the year before we get to top 12 and people start picking favorites and voting like machines. Hopefully, anyway. What would you think of that kind of a deadline? Would that work out for you?

Um, that deadline sounds LIKE A GODSEND.

I have two possible big bang stories, you see, and I don't know exactly how it's going to work out until I start writing both of them. Also, is it okay if I write more than 20K? And if David Cook's band is involved?

Also, thanks. ♥

Oh good to know, lol. I know how that goes, that's how I went into my last bigbang. OF COURSE you can write more than 20k! We would be STOKED, and yes please involve Andy and Neal and anybody else you want to! (I maybe really enjoy Andy Skib a lot more than I should I squeed for him when I watched Regis and Kelly this morning, lol)

Well, right now my two ideas are SPIRALING out of control. One of them is kind of based on Atlas Shrugged, and the other one is kind of a continuation of my previous Christmas epic--i.e. based on an album's tracklist. Last year was based on Analog Heart, and this year I kind of want to base it not only on DCTR but also on DATR--so instead of sticking to Cook's POV as the years go by, I kind of want to have their songs be conversations with one another? And instead of telling stories from what I get from the song, I'd be telling where the songs come from?

...wow, that probably made no sense and was very ranty, but I guess I'm just excited!

(And if you've read Atlas Shrugged let me know so I can tell you the cast list because you will LOVE who Neal and Andy are.)
